So I decided I had better give a quick update on what we're up to these days. Then maybe some of my future posts will make more sense and you won't wonder why the topics of colon surgeries, technology marketing trends, and baby dandruff come up during dinner..
Dave - Dave is in his 3rd year of medical school and is busy right now doing his surgery rotation. The mornings are early and the nights are long for him these days. His alarm has been going off around 4 am lately. Although he's lacking sleep, he is really enjoying this rotation and it is convincing him to pursue some type of surgery as a specialty. He's been doing oncological surgery for the last 3 weeks and he'll do vascular surgery for the next 3. We miss him at home, but it's just part of the gig.
Ashley - I am having so much fun being a Mom! I knew I would love it, but I didn't realize HOW MUCH I would love it. I am still trying to figure it out because I feel clueless a lot, but I guess the mothering instinct just comes. It seems like as soon as I feel like I've figured it out, she starts changing and growing, so I have to learn something new. It's so fun though and I've never been happier. I went back to work part-time 2 weeks ago. I hate being away from her, but we've got to pay the bills. I'm still working at the advertising agency as an account supervisor, but I am working on VeriSign now doing industry research and reporting. Sounds exciting, huh?
Anna - She is still busy being a cutie. She will be 3 months on Saturday and I can't believe how time flies. She loves her swing and trying to talk to me. She's all smiles these days, unless she's tired and then you won't believe such a loud cry can come from such a small girl. She is suffering from cradle cap and if anyone has any good ideas on how to get rid of it, please send. (It will help me to stop picking at it!)
OK. Sorry, that wasn't exactly a quick update. If you are still reading this, you are patient. thanks!
